On July 3-7, 2017, the 5th International Symposium on plant reproductive development was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University. This forum is sponsored by Shanghai Jiaotong University and organized by Professor Zhang Dabing team of plant developmental biology research office, College of life science and technology. It aims to strengthen exchanges in related fields at home and abroad, especially to further promote the development and cooperation of plant reproductive development and fertility research. More than 50 experts and professors from the UK, the United States, Italy and Australia were invited to participate in the meeting, and more than 150 teachers and students of our university participated in the meeting.

The conference adopted the mode of combining conference report and special report, focused on the development trend of plant science at home and abroad, and conducted exchanges and discussions on plant reproductive development, signal transduction, disease resistance, stress resistance, growth and development and metabolic regulation, providing a good exchange platform for scientists related to plant development and biology in various countries. The delegates of the meeting also initially reached cooperation intention in academic exchanges, personnel exchanges and cooperation, and joint application for research projects, which provided a basis for further strengthening the cooperation of plant developmental biology at home and abroad.
