Reproductive development is one of the core processes of life activities. In recent years, Chinese scientists have made outstanding achievements in plant reproductive development, especially in the fields of flowering and pistil development, meiosis, embryo development, hybrid sterility and the interaction between environmental regulation and reproductive development.

In order to strengthen exchanges in related fields at home and abroad and further promote in-depth cooperation and development of plant reproductive development and fertility research, the Sixth International Symposium on plant reproductive development will be held in Shanghai Jiaotong University from July 22 to 26, 2019. The symposium includes two parts: Academic Forum and summer class on reproductive development. The conference will focus on the latest progress in plant flowering time control, inflorescence and floral organ development, male and female gametophyte development, fertilization, apomixis, self incompatibility, embryo and seed development, and the application of related genes in agricultural production and breeding.

More than 60 scientists at home and abroad will be invited to exchange views. Teachers and students from the fields of plant molecular biology, reproductive biology, developmental biology and biotechnology are welcome to attend the meeting.
