To strengthen the research development in system biology, translational medicine, and agricultural sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has collaborated with Metabolon Inc., a US based diagnostics and service company, to establish a Joint Metabolomics Laboratory in Shanghai. The establishment of the Joint Lab was strongly supported by the Central Government and Shanghai Municipal Government.

The Joint Lab has world-class biochemical profiling and in-depth data analysis platforms. It can provide high quality services to researchers in various fields. Results from the metabolomic studies in the Joint Lab will advance researches in personalized medicine, biomarker discovery, and metabolic network elucidation in important animal and plant models.
